Kevin Botterill joined the CenCal Cosmos as Director of Coaching after most recently serving as First Assistant Soccer Coach at Fresno State. A native of Leeds, England, Botterill has been a college coach for the past 12 years coaching both men and women and in all three NCAA Divisions. He has also been active in the club ranks throughout this time serving as a team coach, Youth Academy director and most recently as Girls Director for California Odyssey. His California Odyssey “95 girls team won the 2012 US Club National Championship. Botterill holds coaching licenses from the USSF, NSCAA and UEFA and has recently completed the requirements for the NSCAA Premier Diploma (A license equivalent). Botterill had this to say about his new position, “I am incredibly excited about this new opportunity at the CenCal Cosmos. I believe that the Valley has been crying out for a club that puts the players and coaches first, that is dedicated to the long term development of each, and I am delighted to be chosen as the man to spearhead this endeavor. I believe that the next few years will see the CenCal Cosmos join the ranks of the elite clubs in California for player development.”
